History 186 Review Sheet for Exam I

 

Make sure to bring a “blue book” (available at the campus bookstore) with you to class on the day of the exam.  No make-ups will be given without my prior approval.

The exam will consist of:

1 map portion (10 points) on which you may be asked to locate any of the following items (relevant maps can be found on pp. 10, 20, 36, 58, 62, 69, 124, and 130):

4 term identifications (Choose 4 out of 10 options, 10 points each)

1 essay (Choose 1 out of 2 options, 50 points)

 

For the IDs, identify the term as completely as possible, making sure to discuss what it is, the approximate time frame, and, above all, its significance

 

For the essay, make sure to answer the entire question, using as much detail as you can, and referring to primary sources which we have read or discussed in class if possible.

 

No make-ups will be given without my prior approval.
