The following is one of many methods we are going to show you on how to Publish Your Web pages to the NOVA Website.  Please feel free to email us if you have questions about these directions.

The following directions use the Web Publishing Wizard.  You can go to the Start Menu, Programs, Internet Explorer & click on Web Publishing Wizard.  This will be available if you have IE4 installed.  All computers at NVCC have installed IE4.   You can also download this Wizard from the Microsoft Site.  In the days to come I will add these files to the Downloads FTP site.

Click on NEXT

Enter the File or Folder you want to publish.  If  your files are on a disk, its better to put them in a folder called Web, then type A:\web.   If  you are Faculty or Staff you can first map the folder where all your files are, for example:  \\lostupdc\facultyname.

Now type in the WWW address of your home page.  All students should use: ftp://www.nv2.cc.va.us.  If you are faculty or Satff use: http://www.nv.cc.va.us/home/username. Don't change the Local direcotry.  It should stay the location of your files you want to upload.
